About Occupation Records

Occupation Records is the record label of and by the 99%. The label was founded by occupiers from Occupy London and is a vehicle for artists and people in the music industry to support Occupy London, occupations in the UK and Ireland, and the global movement.

In the spirit of Occupy, digital albums are released through a modified pay-what-you-can model. Physical CD and Vinyl releases will follow.

The label is operated by the 45 Revolutions Per Minute, an independent collective of occupiers. Each member of the collective is represented by a union and all decisions for the label are made through consensus. All profits go to support Occupy London, occupations in the UK and Ireland, and the global movement.
